Quester Polanki, Berlin-based electronic duo that fuses elements of 90s/00s hip-hop, downbeat, house, and ambient music. Layered with cartoon snippets and vocal samples, their tracks offer a danceable, tongue-in-cheek reflection on our fleeting, digital lives.

The project took shape in early 2022 during regular sessions at their Finowstraße studio, just after the lockdown. Rooted in 90s sound culture, their signature blend of "beats and melancholia" draws inspiration from artists like Portishead, Massive Attack, Kruder & Dorfmeister, and Nightmares on Wax — all echoing the dub innovations of Lee Scratch Perry and King Tubby.
Their ambient textures, reminiscent of BR Space Night or compilations like Freezone and Future Sound of Jazz, serve as a dreamy backdrop to their nostalgic storytelling. In contrast, QP’s uptempo house tracks flash back to weekend dancefloors and pay homage to the French electronic pioneers of the 90s such as Étienne de Crécy, Alex Gopher, Air and Daft Punk.

With their ongoing FINOW SESSIONS series - a playful hybrid of dance piece and radio play — Quester Polanki celebrate their sonic roots and pay tribute to the artists who shaped them.
